The role focuses on addressing threats against Google Ads accounts in the hijacking space and building scalable solutions to prevent abuse and protect users and advertisers.ResponsibilitiesProvide detailed and actionable qualitative and quantitative understanding of the Ads account takeover threat landscape, including designing and improving data collection, processes, and quality measures.Design and build early warning alerts for novel and changing threats by researching attacker operations and understanding attacker interactions with our systems.Apply security intelligence to respond to new adversarial campaigns or actors; collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement intelligence into prevention and detection systems.Provide training and work with Ads Safety to obtain tooling improvements when needed.Minimum qualificationsBachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.Preferred qualificationsBachelor\'s degree or relevant experience in a technical field (computer science, engineering, math, physics, cyber security).5 years of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.Experience in one of the following areas: deriving actionable insights and intelligence from data sources; rolling out security policies, measuring impact; cyber security or large-scale data analysis to resolve problems, processes, or operations.Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.About the jobFast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators worldwide. You will build, leverage, and evaluate models and operations to solve cyber security and abuse problems.
