Senior Homecare Technician (Van Driver)

Role Purpose:
The Senior Homecare Technician supports the Depot Manager in the day-to-day operations of the depot while maintaining the core responsibilities of a Homecare Technician.
This role involves delivering, installing and removing oxygen products, conducting risk assessments and servicing equipment for patients.
A strong commitment to patient care and safety is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery, installation and servicing of home oxygen equipment.
Support the daily running of the depot and provide cover for the Depot Manager when required.
Conduct calendar-based safety checks and fire risk assessments as needed.
Assist with the preparation, receipt and dispatch of stock.
Load and unload delivery vehicles using a forklift or other approved lifting aids.
Assist with quarterly and year-end stock counts.
Monitor and control consumable stock to minimize costs and losses.
Log and report failed machine stock.
Liaise with the Depot Manager regarding the maintenance and repair of depot infrastructure.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Relevant experience in a similar role.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to safely operate lifting equipment (e.g., forklift) or willingness to be trained.
Good communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
Basic understanding of stock control and inventory management.
Commitment to health, safety, and high-quality service standards.
Communication & Working Relationships:
Collaborate with field and depot managers, colleagues and customer care agents.
Interact directly with patients, carers and healthcare professionals
Other Requirements:
Full & clean drivers licence required
Garda vetting completed (organised by company)
Occasional on call rota flexibility
