Electrical Project Engineer
We are hiring for our client, a well-established and expanding company in the water industry, who are seeking to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer. Based at their Carlow head office, this is a full-time, permanent role offering an exciting opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for project delivery.
Key Facts:
* Salary: €55,000 – €65,000 depending on experience
* Office-based in Carlow with frequent site visits across Ireland

The Role:
This position involves assisting the Project Manager in day-to-day project delivery, liaising with suppliers, preparing technical documentation, generating project programmes and schedules, coordinating site works, developing safety procedures, and ensuring site safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project delivery
2. Liaise with suppliers and ensure quotations meet project specifications
3. Prepare technical documentation, submissions, and client reports
4. Generate and update project programmes and schedules
5. Coordinate site works, including sub-contractors and internal teams
6. Develop Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Quality Control procedures
7. Ensure site safety compliance with HSA regulations
8. Supervise on-site works and attend audits and client meetings
9. Manage project costs, change orders, and documentation
10. Compile O&M manuals and maintain full contract control
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with 3–5 years' experience in an Electrical Project Engineering role, or a trade-qualified electrician with project experience. Water/wastewater industry experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong AutoCAD capability and experience in plant design, commissioning, and managing contractors are also required.
