About the Role
Join a progressive Engineering Consultancy practice in Cork, delivering state-of-the-art designs across Commercial, Education, and Industrial sectors.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead projects spanning Munster and Ireland, overseeing low-energy projects from conceptual design through to building handover.
Duties:
* Design and review work of junior engineers, ensuring high-quality output.
* Compile specifications for Mechanical Services and Installations, guaranteeing seamless coordination between documents.
* Develop project plans, conceptual design studies, and reports, driving business growth.
* Train and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, fostering their development within the group.
* Nurture client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and advocate.
* Collaborate with architects, clients, and stakeholders to define electrical design constraints and coordinate with other disciplines.
* Promote best-practice engineering expertise, advancing Graduate Engineers and Technicians through mentoring and oversight.
Requirements:
* Hold a Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
* Possess Chartership or be close to achieving it, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
* Bring a minimum of 7 years' postgraduate experience, showcasing career progression and management of small to medium-scale projects.
* Lead projects effectively, taking briefs from project leads on large projects and delivering tasks efficiently.
* Demonstrate experience in client-facing roles, appreciating the importance of prompt responses and resolutions to client needs.

* Excel in people management, interpersonal skills, and teamwork, driving team objectives forward.
* Negotiate effectively, possessing outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
