Some estimating roles are just pricing exercises.

We're working with a growing offsite construction business delivering modern construction solutions across Ireland. They're expanding their commercial team and looking for an Estimator who can think commercially, read drawings properly, and bring accuracy to fast-moving construction projects.
This is a role for someone who enjoys the detail.
Someone who spots what others miss.
Someone confident enough with drawings, measurements, Excel, and technical information to produce estimates that stand up commercially and operationally.
You'll be joining a close-knit team working on light gauge steel and offsite construction projects where precision matters and good estimators quickly become invaluable.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Producing accurate take-offs and cost estimates from construction drawings
* Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project information
* Using Excel and digital measurement tools to build detailed pricing models
* Working closely with commercial and operational teams to support tenders and live projects
* Supporting cost planning and project pricing across multiple projects
* Helping improve estimating processes and commercial accuracy as the business grows
WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR
* Strong numerical ability and confidence measuring drawings accurately
* Excellent Microsoft Excel capability including formulas and data handling
* Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical information
* Professional-level English communication skills
* Candidates already based in Ireland and able to commute to Cahir regularly
* Full right to work in Ireland - sponsorship is not available
IDEAL BACKGROUNDS
This role will suit estimators or technically minded construction professionals coming from areas such as:
* Timber frame
* Light gauge steel
* Offsite construction
* Modular construction
* MMC (Modern Methods of Construction)
You may already have experience with businesses involved in timber frame, steel frame, or offsite delivery environments - but strong estimating fundamentals matter more than brand names.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
* Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar
* Experience using Bluebeam Revu, CostX, or similar digital measuring software
* Previous estimating experience within construction or manufacturing environments
