Senior Payroll Manager Role
This senior payroll manager position involves overseeing end-to-end payroll operations across various regions. It is crucial to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll cycles for the global workforce.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Process Management: Lead the end-to-end payroll process in multiple regions, balancing outsourced providers and internal teams.
2. Payroll Review and Validation: Review, validate, and approve payrolls prepared by the teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local statutory requirements and company standards.
3. Third-Party Vendor Management: Work with third-party payroll vendors and system providers, adhering to service level agreements.
4. Tax Filings and Compliance: Ensure all payroll-related tax filings are completed timely and accurately; work with tax agencies and payroll service providers to resolve issues.
5. Monthly Reconciliations: Assist the general ledger team with monthly payroll reconciliations.
6. Payroll Provider Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for payroll providers, driving service delivery, resolving escalations, and monitoring SLAs to maintain a seamless payroll experience for employees.
7. Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor the payroll team, providing direction, training, and support to ensure operational excellence and compliance in every jurisdiction.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with HR, finance, and external partners to ensure master data integrity, process improvements, and payroll integration with broader business functions.
9. Risk Management and Internal Controls: Lead audits, reconciliations, and internal controls, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure payroll integrity and security.
10. Compliance and Process Improvement: Stay current with evolving employment laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices in relevant countries; adapt processes to maintain full compliance.
11. Process Development and Enhancement: Develop and continuously improve payroll processes, employment tax processes, and internal controls to preserve quality, efficiency, and overall effectiveness of all payroll functions while ensuring regulatory compliance.
