We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Research and Administrative Assistant to join our team in Ireland. The primary focus of this role is on legal research, with the role of researching legal updates to keep the compliance courses current. This will include current trends and view of the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), Data Protection Commission (DPC), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other regulatory bodies.
This varied role includes the opportunity to contribute to the development of compliance training for leading Irish and UK-based financial institutions. This position is ideal for students interested in the intersection of law, compliance, and technology. The successful candidates will be expected to work from our Dublin office for summer 2026 on a full-time basis, with an opportunity to work part‑time thereafter while completing FE‑1 examinations.

You will play a critical role in researching legislation and regulations, supporting our product development, and providing key insights that shape our eLearning content.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research on Irish and UK financial services regulations, compliance trends, and upcoming legislative changes.
Assist in the development of compliance training materials by providing legal insights, proofreading content, and supporting instructional design tasks such as storyboarding and multiple-choice question (MCQ) writing and updating.
Develop comprehensive reports and summaries of your findings to support the development of CityLearning’s eLearning products.
Identify relevant legal and compliance contacts within target companies and maintain a database of key stakeholders.
Monitor and analyse new and emerging regulations that may impact our clients.
Other Responsibilities
Contribute to digital marketing efforts, including writing content related to the eLearning courses for targeted email marketing campaigns, LinkedIn posts & website pages. Contribute to coordination of monthly targeted email campaigns.
Handle ad‑hoc administrative tasks, such as document preparation, filing, and data entry. Assist other team members with administrative tasks as required.
Skills and Abilities
Strong legal research skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex regulatory issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate legal jargon into understandable content.
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
Advanced computer skills, including fast typing and detailed knowledge of Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint in particular.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Highly organised with effective planning and prioritisation skills.
A keen interest in learning, law, compliance, and technology.
Curiosity and continuous learning mindset to build subject matter expertise in legal and regulatory topics.
Minimum Requirements
Currently studying a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Law or a related field (full training will be provided).
Excellent written and spoken English.
Highly motivated, deadline‑driven, and a team player.
