The Chief Technologist will bridge Enterprise IT, ICT and Clinical research. The role holder will provide leadership for ‘Work Package 1’ through the development and coordination of the ICT-research programme to support a data intensive clinical research programme.
The post-holder will coordinate the ICT work across a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, data scientists, and technologists across RI Research Centres (ADAPT and FutureNeuro), and partner institutions including Trinity College Dublin and Technological University Dublin. They will guide the development of the Programme’s ICT architecture – particularly the Patient Data Platform (PDP) and the move to a cloud‑based or on‑premise (Trusted) Research Environment. The post-holder will also ensure the coordination/delivery of the ICT components of the research and operational work packages.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract. This role is for a finite period – work will end when the ICT research project platform and the Programme’s ICT architecture are established for the PrecisionALS Programme. Termination occurs on completion of the work or if the funding stream is terminated or withdrawn.
Hours of Post
35 hours per week.
Salary
Administrative 1 (Points 1‑6) Salary Scale (€69,545 – €110,118 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
