Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to partner with our client, a Multinational firm from the Reinsurance sector, to hire a newly created Tax Manager for their Dublin City base.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare consolidated quarterly, annual, and periodic tax reporting schedules and disclosures for financial statement reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
Monitor tax legislation and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on financial reporting.
Review tax provisions prepared by internal finance teams and external tax advisors.
Collaborate with regional and local teams regarding tax compliance and filing requirements.
Coordinate with corporate headquarters and affiliated entities on tax reporting and compliance matters.
Monitor, assess, and document uncertain tax positions.
Maintain tax controls, process documentation, and support internal and external audit activities.
Maintain and update tax accounting policies and procedures
Required Qualifications & Experience
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CTA, CPA or equivalent).
4–6 years of experience in Tax accounting / reporting for insurance or reinsurance companies.
Experience in GAAP and IFRS tax accounting standards (ASC 740 and IAS7).
Knowledge and practical experience implementing BEPS Pillar 2.
Strong understanding of business tax legislation and corporate income tax requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
Practical experience in tax-efficient structuring for an insurance company with international operations.
Experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions.
Detailed knowledge of SOX 404 and experience maintaining a robust controls environment.
