Position Summary: The Shift Manager will oversee the daily operations of the production floor during their assigned shift. This role is responsible for ensuring that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The Shift Manager will lead a team of production workers, fostering an environment of teamwork and maintaining efficient workflows. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate production activities on the shift to ensure efficient operations. Monitor and manage production schedules to meet customer demands. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff, providing guidance and support. Address and resolve any operational issues that arise during the shift. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and workspace to maintain a safe working environment. Report shift performance data, including production output, downtime, and other relevant metrics. Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Maintenance, to resolve issues and improve processes. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelors degree in a relevant field is preferred. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus. Strong understanding of production processes and safety regulations. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficient in basic computer skills and production management software. Working Conditions: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a temperature-controlled environment.
