Customer Account Manager Location: Bray, Wicklow Salary: €35,000-€50,000 base DOE + bonus + full benefits THE COMPANY: Our client is a long-established Irish manufacturer supplying specialist industrial products to a broad range of customers across Ireland. The business has been operating successfully for decades, has a strong reputation in its market, and is known for long-term customer relationships and high service levels. Due to an upcoming retirement within the commercial team, they are now investing in the next generation of sales talent through a structured sales apprenticeship pathway. This is a genuine long-term career opportunity within a stable, growing Irish business, with clear progression into senior account management and, longer term, sales leadership. THE ROLE: This is a trainee Account Manager role, working closely with an experienced Sales Manager and Sales Director during a structured handover period. You will gradually take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers while also learning how to identify and develop new business opportunities. Day to day, you will be building relationships with customers, visiting accounts nationwide, managing pricing, samples and orders, resolving issues, and acting as the key link between customers and internal teams such as production and supply chain. You will also be trained on how to spot growth opportunities within accounts and bring new customers into the business. Alongside the role, you will complete a recognised National Sales Apprenticeship (QQI Level 6), combining on-the-job learning with formal sales training. This is a practical, commercial role with real responsibility and a clear progression path. THE PERSON: This role will suit someone early in their career who wants to build a long-term future in sales and account management. You may already be working in a customer-facing role, either B2B or B2C, and be looking to move into a more commercial, field-based position. We are open on background - experience in sales, customer service, account management, retail, hospitality, logistics or similar environments will all be considered. What matters most is attitude, communication skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in sales. You will be personable, organised, comfortable dealing with customers, and willing to travel nationwide. A full driving licence is essential.
