Role
BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit a permanent Manager Logistics, Customs and Technical Services.
Job Function
The manager is the technical expert in the execution of all activities associated with GMP warehousing and inventory movements across the Cruiserath Site and is a key role in investigation resolution.
Responsibilities

Manage Inward Processing (IP) Custom Authorisation with Irish Revenue
Manage Customs Warehouse Authorisation with Revenue for Cruiserath Biologics
SME for generating monthly Customs Warehouse/IP returns and submitting to Revenue Commissioners on behalf of Cruiserath Biologics
Monitor import customs declarations and review of import documentation for Cruiserath Biologics
Gather Intrastat data reporting for Cruiserath Biologics
SME for inbound shipments with the support of the Global Customs & Trade Compliance Team
Validate product qualification for Preferential Origin
Liaise and work closely with EMEA C&T Compliance team on any changes / new Physical / Financial Flows, IOR/EOR queries and any changes related to customs and trade requirements
Work closely with other departments such as logistics, supply chain Operations and Finance to ensure compliance with regulations and efficient operations
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including customs authorities, logistics providers and other departments within the company
Ensure a high level of attention to detail to minimise the risk of errors or delays in customs and trade operations
Execute all tasks associated with WCL processes, BDS storage/shipment activities for the Cruiserath Biologics Site and ensure continued conformance with all relevant regulations
Performs as Logistics SME for technical issue troubleshooting/resolution during/post start-up including commercial manufacture and tech transfer
Represent Logistics as Project Lead for SAP Projects
Design, develop and update procedures for Logistics ensuring cross‑functional stakeholders are aligned
Supports investigations and CAPAs as required
Supports change controls related to materials management activities
Provide project management support for new product implementations, productivity improvement, harmonisation activities and general site initiatives
Serves as the “acting” LCC Manager in absence of the Senior Manager to coordinate, direct and oversee work execution
Supports and leads key meetings on behalf of Logistics
Supports QA audit activities
Work with CQV team to accomplish validation activities for Logistics
Provide expertise and training to Specialists in relation to the day‑to‑day operations
Identifies, executes and drives continuous improvements in The Warehouse, Cryogenics, Logistics and JIT areas and processes
Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing principles
Effectively use process automation systems (e.g., Syncade) and some business support systems (e.g., SAP, MES, etc.)
Act as the assigned point of contact for internal customer inquiries
Inform WCL Senior Manager of any concerns

Safety

At all times operate in a safe and responsible manner and actively promote and evolve a safety culture on site and a safe working environment for all employees
Highlight safety concerns as a first priority and escalate any near misses to target prevention of safety incidents
Report all safety concerns to the LCC Manager
Use appropriate safety and GMP clothing and protective equipment as per training and relevant SOPs
Operate all production equipment within the assigned functional area in a safe manner
Familiarise yourself with your working environment and have an awareness of emergency procedures in manufacturing production areas and general site
Ensure all Safety related training is completed and valid

Teamwork

As applicable work with as part of a cross‑functional group to facilitate the development and validation of the campus
Participate in regular team meetings
Participate in departmental teams, cross‑functional teams, programmes or company initiatives to resolve issues and improve site safety, quality, compliance and performance
Show flexibility and a willingness to move cross‑functionally as required by business needs
Provide assistance and/or support maintenance, engineering, quality or other colleagues as requested
Liaise with other groups and individuals to ensure planning of tasks is effective and linked into the site plan

Development

Maintain a high level of personal expertise and working knowledge of all aspects of customs, revenue
Actively manage one’s own training plan and maintain ownership of completing the job function training curricula
Engage in and support culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence (OPEX) through ownership of improvement for work processes, equipment and safe work environment
Pass on knowledge and learnings to others to promote an environment of continuous development

Housekeeping

Ensure that the very highest standards of housekeeping are maintained as tasks are carried out
Participate in Pre‑Operational checks

Required Qualification(s)

The Leaving Certificate is a minimum requirement, a third level qualification in logistics and/or manufacturing is preferred

Required Experience

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain Role with experience in Production, GMP Warehousing and logistics
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a GMP environment. Experience in Biologics manufacturing is preferred
Working knowledge of computerized production and inventory control systems (SAP) and documentation practices
Knowledge of imports, inward processing and customs warehousing is advantageous

On‑site Protocol
BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site‑essential, site‑by‑design, field‑based and remote‑by‑design jobs. The occupancy type you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role.
Site‑essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site‑by‑design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation and productivity, and a positive company culture. For field‑based and remote‑by‑design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
