Our client is a global financial services firm with its European HQ in Dublin. Due to ambitious growth plans, they now seeking a Financial Controller on a full time, permanent basis. This role will focus primarily on financial reporting, corporate controllership, and operational accounting, ideal for a finance professional with strong technical skills and financial services and/or multinational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee accounting and financial analysis across multiple systems, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
* Manage equity and partnership accounting, including management fee and carried interest calculations, across multiple entities and group structures.
* Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for individual entities and consolidated group reporting, providing insightful analysis and commentary; coordinate audits with external auditors.
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, expense analysis, and regulatory reporting, while remaining hands-on in key accounting tasks.
* Respond to ad-hoc requests and queries from internal stakeholders and clients, providing clear guidance and financial insights.
* Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust financial controls and decision support.
Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree plus an ACA/ACCA/CPA Qualification or equivalent.
* Circa 8-10 years PQE ideally within financial services or a multinational environment
* Experience with GAAP and ideally reporting across multiple entities
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint); ERP system experience (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with adaptability to change.
