Job Overview
Our four partner City Centre practice is offering a dynamic role within a busy and varied environment where the successful candidate will be involved with all aspects of the firm's activities. This 3 year contract would suit a recent graduate or part qualified accountant with business or related qualification, high achiever with a good exam background. The role is open to candidates from any degree background and you do not need to have had any specific work experience in order to apply. We offer a competitive package incorporating study leave and course fees. The firm is an ACCA Platinum approved training practice.
Training throughout the 3 year contract will be across a wide range of areas to include (but not limited to)
· Working as part of a team
· Assisting with audit and audit exempt assignments
· Preparing and reviewing financial statements for audit, audit exempt, sole trader & partnership clients
· Preparing periodic VAT returns, management accounts, cash flows
· Involvement in Corporation and Income Tax assignments
· Preparing Company Office Returns
· Design and implement audit plans.
The ideal candidate would
* Enroll for the examinations of ACCA
* Possess good inter-personal and communication skills
* Possess good organisational skills with the ability to manage their time
* Strong attention to detail
* Good technical knowledge
* Have a working knowledge of some of the most popular accounting packages namely Relate, Surf, Sage etc
