From walking and cycling schemes to bus priority corridors and public‑realm improvements—your work will have a direct and visible impact on communities.
What You’ll Be Doing – and Why It Matters
In this role, you’ll be the technical backbone supporting multidisciplinary design teams. Your drawings will guide real construction, shape safety, and influence how people navigate their daily journeys.
Core Responsibilities
You’ll produce and coordinate high‑quality CAD outputs across the full project lifecycle, including:
General arrangements, alignments, cross sections & detailed design drawings

You’ll also lead on self‑checks, peer reviews, and delivering CAD that’s right first time.
As part of your role, you'll coordinate CAD information across multiple streams of work including Drainage, Lighting, Landscaping, Traffic signals and structure. Your work will help us avoid clashes, smooth out inconsistencies, and keep the whole project moving in the same direction.
Alongside your technical delivery, you'll support Design Managers and Engineers to bring concepts to life.
Assist with drawing registers, submissions, and revision management. Help respond to audits and technical reviews. Offer informal mentorship and guidance to junior CAD technicians. You’ll be a role model for CAD best practice, helping the team deliver smarter and more efficiently.

High proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (essential).
Background in active travel, public realm, or urban street design projects.
Solid understanding of road layouts, junction geometry, levels, cross sections, and construction detailing.
Ability to work accurately at pace and manage multiple drawing packages simultaneously.
