We are presently recruiting for a CAD / CAM Programmer for our County Kerry Based Clients. You will be responsible for reviewing engineering drawings, creating CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, generating cutting lists, and scheduling machine work. Reporting to the Drawing Manager, you will liaise with operators, troubleshoot issues, optimise material use, update production records, and ensure all output meets quality standards while supporting efficient, accurate fabrication processes daily. This is a permanent position with the option for remote work once you can commit to travel to Killarney when business needs require.Responsibilities:Programme CNC cutting machinery to ensure precision, efficiency, and adherence to production schedulesGenerate and manage cutting lists for plasma, laser, and CNC drilling operationsInterpret and process engineering drawings using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Lantek)Convert technical drawings into machine-ready formats for production useDevelop and maintain Excel-based documentation to support planning and workflow trackingCollaborate with machine operators and production teams to ensure smooth operationsEnsure all outputs meet customer specifications and internal quality standardsOptimise material usage to reduce waste and improve cost efficiencyMaintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and programming dataWork cross-functionally with drawing, programming, and fabrication departmentsExperiences:Hold a relevant qualification in CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, or a related disciplineDemonstrate experience with CNC, laser, or plasma programming (preferred)Possess strong ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings with strong numerical accuracy.Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelSalary is open to negotiation and based on experience and in the region of €36 – 40,000 plus overtime.
