Junior Quantity Surveyor (JQS)

As
Junior Quantity Surveyor
, you will work closely with the
Senior QS
to assist with
cost management, procurement, valuations, and commercial reporting
.
This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Reporting
* Assist with the preparation of budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
* Support monthly cost reports and financial updates.
* Maintain accurate project records for measurement and valuation.
Procurement & Contracts
* Help prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and supplier enquiries.
* Support subcontractor and supplier evaluations and comparisons.
* Assist with subcontract administration and compliance.
Valuations & Payments
* Measure works on site and help prepare valuations.
* Support interim payment applications and final account preparation.
* Record and value project variations under supervision.
Commercial Administration & Risk Management
* Maintain project documentation and contractual correspondence.
* Assist in identifying risks, variations, and potential cost impacts.
* Ensure adherence to company commercial processes and policies.
What We're Looking For
* Degree (or working towards) in
Quantity Surveying
, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
* Experience in a QS or related construction role (graduates considered).
* Strong skills in
Microsoft Excel
and standard office applications.
* Familiarity with construction contracts (NEC, JCT, RIAI) is an advantage.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and teamwork abilities.
* A desire to
