We are looking for candidates who are committed to supporting children with complex disability needs and their families, in a family and person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.
As an Assistant Psychologist, you will join the 0-18 children's disability network team and be engaged in practice routed in a family centred practice approach.
You will be working within a highly motivated team and contribute to collaborative working with children and families and the team.
ELCS CDNT is operated based on principles of Progressing Disability Services within Ireland.
Essential: A Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredited qualification at not less than a Level 8 at 2.1 honors Grade on the QQI qualifications framework in which psychology was a major subject.
OR A Level 8 honors degree in another subject (2.1 or higher) together with an accredited conversion qualification at a minimum of (2.1) as conferring eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland Applicant must be graduate member of the PSI or the BPS Proficiency in the English language.
Desirable: Previous voluntary or paid experience working with children.
Demonstrated evaluation and research skills Relevant training in areas specific to therapeutic interventions for children 0-18 years Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience Master's degree in a relevant area of Psychology.
