We invite applications from Field Service Engineers with experience of fault diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical/fluidic/electronics systems, or from someone with the right skills and attitude wanting to move into a field service position. Ideally, you will have started your career troubleshooting at component level and have progressively built up your expertise to systems level in any of these industries (biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, automation, aerospace but to name a few).
Purpose:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer with experience in Electro Mechanical Engineering to provide first-class dedicated technical support to our customers in Republic of Ireland. For this position, you will need to be based in the Kildare/Leinster area. With this intent in mind, applicants will only be considered if they are either currently residing within this geographical area – or willing to relocate.
You will be expected to work closely with the wider field-based Technical Services team and all other areas of Roche to provide best-in-class service for our customers.
This exciting position sits within the Technical Services group with a mission to provide technical support for varied electrical/mechanical medical equipment. With exciting plans for future equipment launches in the pipeline and strong R&D investment in the product portfolio, you will be coming into the Technical support team at an opportune time to support significant growth within key business accounts across the island of Ireland.
* As the first responder for technical and IT related issues your role will involve hardware routine proactive/reactive work, technical training, upskilling of customers and ensuring all administration and regulatory documentation is maintained.
* You will be accountable for the successful delivery/uptime and overall customer experience.
* You will be expected to build your system understanding around the entire customer solution to include information solutions and applications of the Roche products.
* Key activities will include troubleshooting and ownership of faults, preventative maintenance, fault related data analysis and generation of reports to improve efficiency across Roche’s product portfolio.
Who you are
You are an ambitious and motivated, qualified Engineer - with good previous service experience of working with high-value capital equipment. Ideally Degree-educated, or Diploma level in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience, you will possess a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the IVD industry and have solid experience in implementing best-in-class support.
* With the ability to provide effective support for pathology laboratory solutions, you will be motivated by exceeding customer expectations and instilling knowledge.
* Self-motivated with a positive mindset, you will excel in the art of troubleshooting and taking ownership and pride in your work. As an implementer of change, you will have a questioning approach to issues, the ability to drive innovations and train, coach, mentor and develop others.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive customer relationships within a complex matrix environment.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Fluent in English.
