Our client is Ireland’s most progressive building company, delivering large-scale construction projects across Ireland and the UK from offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and London. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sustainability Manager to join their Dublin Head Office.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing the company’s sustainability strategy in line with corporate goals and upcoming legislative requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the company’s Sustainability Working Group.
* Support the development and communication of a sustainability strategy aligned with the CSRD.
* Enhance and execute the company's roadmap to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
* Ensure systems are in place for tracking and reporting Scope 3 emissions.
* Identify sustainability-related risks and opportunities.
* Recommend and implement improvements to sustainability practices.
* Prepare sustainability reports following the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
* Maintain compliance with CSRD and relevant legislation.
* Report on ESG metrics.
* Collaborate with management and teams to embed sustainability.
* Promote sustainability initiatives internally and externally.
* Research innovative technologies to reduce environmental footprint.
* Contribute to addressing long-term sustainability challenges.
* Design and deliver employee sustainability training.
* Foster a culture of sustainability throughout the company.
* Act as a point of contact for sustainability queries.
Key Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
* Understanding of CSRD, ESRS, and sustainability reporting frameworks.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Strong analytical skills and experience managing sustainability data.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Organizational and project management skills.
* Experience developing sustainability policies and reports.
* Ability to drive sustainable change.
