The Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel is seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Swim Instructor / Leisure Centre Attendant to join our team on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week). This dual role focuses on delivering high-quality swimming instruction while also ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our leisure centre.
Conveniently located just a short walk from Limerick Junction station and approximately 30 minutes from Limerick City, the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel is easily accessible via regular train services connecting Limerick City and Limerick Junction.

Responsibilities:
Swim Instruction
* Deliver engaging, enjoyable, and high-standard swim lesson programmes.
* Demonstrate proper techniques and methods in swimming instruction.
* Observe and assess participants, offering corrective feedback to improve performance.
* Monitor individual progress and tailor training plans to suit varying abilities and needs.
* Explain and enforce swimming safety rules and regulations.
Leisure Centre Operations
* Greet and assist guests, providing information on leisure centre facilities.
* Ensure the gym, pool, and changing areas are clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
* Monitor facilities to ensure guest safety and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning equipment, managing pool filters).
* Keep accurate records of pool usage, equipment checks, and maintenance logs.
* Enforce leisure centre policies to ensure a positive guest experience.
* Assist with general duties to support the efficient running of the hotel and leisure centre.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Swim Instructor is essential.
* Fully qualified and certified Swim Teacher (Swim Ireland Level 2 or equivalent; certification must be in date).
* Valid Lifeguard qualification.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
* Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
