OverviewMy client is a fast growing retail group with 18 stores nationwide and a turnover exceeding €30 million. With continued expansion ahead, they are seeking a motivated and capable Group Financial Controller to join their Head Office in Swords. This is a newly created role reporting into the Finance Director. A key part of the role will be optimising their recently implemented Microsoft Business Central system, embedding process improvements, and streamlining reporting to support senior management in strategic decision making. This is a hands on opportunity to make a real impact, driving financial performance in a dynamic and expanding business while growing into senior finance leadership.Duties:Oversee day-to-day finance operations including management accounts, cash flow, budgeting, and forecastingPrepare monthly and year-end financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timelinessParticipate in the budgeting and forecasting process across the groupProvide actionable financial insights and reporting to support operational and strategic decisionsCollaborate with store managers and department heads to monitor and control costsWork closely with external auditors and manage year-end audit processDevelop and enhance internal controls, financial systems, and procedures and manage the current finance team of 4Drive continuous improvement and automation within finance processesSupport stock control, margin analysis, and retail performance KPIsSkills & ExperienceQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2-3yrs + relevant experienceBackground in retail/ FMCG/ multi company set up highly desirableProven ability to manage and lead a small finance teamStrong knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations and multi-company reportingProficient in Microsoft Business Central and advanced ExcelStrong organisational and interpersonal skills, able to guide and motivate a committed teamHands-on approach with a track record of delivering accurate monthly accounts and driving process improvementsExcellent communication skills to partner effectively with senior managementAbility to balance hands-on transactional work with oversight and improvementsFull-time, on-site availability in Swords, DublinWhat's on OfferDOEBonus, performance relatedPensionFree car parkingThis is a full time office based role.
