Job Description
Early Years Educator – Full‑time & Part‑time
Urlingford Community Childcare Centre is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and professional Early Years Educator to join our supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a child‑centred, community‑based setting committed to high‑quality Early Childhood Education and Care, inclusion and teamwork.
The successful candidate will support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through nurturing, play‑based experiences, while helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children and families. The role includes working as part of a team to plan and implement activities, respond to children’s individual needs, maintain records, follow policies and procedures, and contribute positively to the daily running of the service.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
QQI Level 5 in ECEC (8 modules) or equivalent
QQI Level 6 in ECEC or higher desirable
Experience in an ECEC or SAC setting desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
Commitment to providing high‑quality care and education
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Minimum experience required (years): 1
Minimum qualification: Level 5 (including Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme) or childcare, Early years education and care or equivalent
Languages: English B2‑Upper intermediate
Proximity to vacancy: 45 kilometres

Competency skills: initiative, teamwork, working on own initiative
