Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software that runs in a cloud based manufacturing environment across Dells global manufacturing sites, delivering product diagnostic testing, customer software provisioning as well as customer configuration verification prior to shipping to customer sites — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.Join us as a Senior Software Engineer on our Global Test Engineering Development team in Cork, Ireland to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you’ll achieveAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated systems and software based on Dells manufacturing and product team requirements and business goals.You will:Be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements analysis through design/architecture, development, testing and delivery.Work on a highly motivated agile software development team with an emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Gain extensive insights into Dells portfolio of products through close collaboration with Dells product teams.Take the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Knowledge of programming languages, object oriented programming principles, operating systems, databases, networking, device drivers, application administration, embedded software/firmware, tools and utilities. Python, Bitbucket/GitHub Source Control, Jenkins build.Ability to code/debug more sophisticated programs using either written or verbal design specificationsCapacity to achieve proficiency of new tools, languages and operating systems with training and on-the-job experienceComfortable working on Dell products from a hardware setup and test perspective.5–8 years of related experienceBachelor’s degree CS or equivalentWho we areWe believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
