Job Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Lead to join our client's team. This is a dynamic opportunity to take charge of safety operations and lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead EHS Operations: Oversee the day-to-day EHS activities, ensuring a proactive approach to safety.
* Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.
* Accident Investigations: Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
* Safety Training & Compliance: Coordinate safety training and ensure regulatory compliance across the site.
* External Audits: Prepare for and support safety audits and inspections.
* Team Leadership: Manage and support a small team, fostering a safety-first culture.
Requirements
* Certifications: Level 8 qualification in Health & Safety or related field.
* Experience: 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing or high-risk environment.
* Skills: Proven team management experience with the ability to lead and drive results, manual handling instructor, train the trainer, and occupational first aid certifications.
* Attitude: Strong communication skills to engage with all levels of the organisation, a proactive attitude, and the ability to take immediate ownership of safety initiatives.
