The successful candidate will be based in ABP Clones, Teehill, Clones, Co Monaghan, on a full time contract.Job DescriptionThe Hygiene Manager will manage all aspects of hygiene including night hygiene, daytime amenities cleaning and other ad-hoc cleaning, ensuring all aspects of the hygiene service are carried out and maintained to the required high standard. The Hygiene Manager will work closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety teams to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. This role will require flexibility to working shifts to compliment the production requirements. The Hygiene Manager will report directly to the Site General Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of all hygiene facilities at ABP ClonesEnsure that the complete site is always maintained to the highest standards, complying with food safety standards and regulationsResponsible for safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials, with an emphasis on training, storage, and usageManagement and development of site hygiene teamTrain and supervise staff on hygiene standards and cleaning protocols and practicesConduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processesEnsure that all equipment is fit for purpose in advance of all shiftsInvestigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective actions to drive improvements in site hygiene standards, in partnership with QA and H&S teamsProcure, monitor and control costs of cleaning materials and equipment on siteProactive in in identifying cleaning requirements, reporting maintenance issues and dealing with all other requirements of the site's senior managementMaintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, audits, and compliance reportsLiaise with department managers and supervisors on a daily basisAdhere to all relevant regulations and safety protocolsLead by example, upholding the company's values in all areas of workRequirementsAt least 2 years' experience in a hygiene management or supervisory role or quality assurance within the food industryCleaning experience within the food industry is essentialPrevious experience in managing a teamIdeally will have experience managing workforce planning and working to budgetsComputer literate and a proven competency in maintaining accurate and clear recordsExcellent organisational skills - ability to work to deadlines essentialExcellent command of the English language, both written and verbalStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
