There is significant flexibility for home working, but candidates must be able to travel to Dublin as required.Contract: Specified Purpose (Sick Leave Cover).About SWANThe Sustainable Water Network (SWAN) is a network of 25 environmental organisations working together to protect and improve water quality across Ireland and to advance sustainable water management.RoleSWAN is seeking a Co-Chief Executive Officer to support the organisation through a transitional period as the current CEO returns on a phased basis. This is a part-time leadership role (3 days per week), focused on the internal management and organisational side of SWAN’s work. The successful candidate will work alongside the current CEO, who will focus primarily on policy and advocacy. This is a practical, hands-on leadership role within a small organisation, requiring strong judgement, coordination, and the ability to ensure that work progresses effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide organisational leadership and coordinate line management and support staffOversee planning and reporting cyclesSupport governance processes and Board engagementMaintain financial oversight and review budgetsManage operational decision-making and prioritisationAct as a key point of contact for internal and Board mattersAbout YouYou will bring senior leadership experience and be comfortable operating in a small, mission-driven organisation. You are likely to have:Experience in organisational leadership, management, or operationsStrong people management and decision-making capabilitiesExperience working with Boards or governance structuresFinancial oversight and budgeting experienceThe ability to prioritise, coordinate, and keep work on trackExperience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
