Circal specialise in site discovery and developing projects to Ready-to-Build stage and aspires to power greater possibilities with solar – for landowners, their land, and our future.Role DescriptionReporting to the Senior Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving utility-scale solar and storage projects from origination through feasibility, planning, grid connection, and ultimately to Ready-to-Build stage. This includes leading design, environmental, planning and grid processes; managing consultants and stakeholders; navigating the Irish permitting and grid connection processes; and ensuring each project progresses in line with Circal's development strategy and timelines.QualificationsDegree in Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geography, or related field; postgraduate qualification an asset.5+ years' experience in renewable energy development, ideally solar or onshore wind.Strong understanding of the Irish planning system, environmental assessments, and grid connection processes (EirGrid/ESB Networks).Experience leading multidisciplinary consultants and managing complex permitting processes.Comfort with GIS, feasibility tools, and project management platforms.Strong commercial awareness and understanding of development economics (LCOE, yield analysis, grid constraints).Proven ability to collaborate with landowners, communities, regulators, and statutory bodies.Excellent team player with a track record of relationship building at all levels.Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
