Dietitian
Medforce are looking for a Dietitian to provide high-quality, evidence-based nutrition assessment, intervention, and education across the community, supporting individuals and groups to improve health outcomes, manage clinical conditions, and promote long-term wellbeing. This is a Children's Disability Team in South City Dublin and I will accept applications from Staff or Senior
Responsibilities of Dietitian
* Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments including dietary history, anthropometrics, biochemical data, and clinical indicators.
* Develop individualized nutrition care plans aligned with clinical needs, cultural considerations, and patient goals.
* Provide therapeutic dietary advice for a range of conditions, such as malnutrition and unintentional weight loss, diabetes management, gastrointestinal disorder, cardiovascular disease, obesity and overweight, food allergies and intolerance and enteral nutrition support
* Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans, and ensure continuity of care.
* Deliver group education programs, workshops, and community-based health promotion initiatives.
* Create accessible nutrition resources, including written materials, meal plans, and public education content.
* Support community initiatives addressing food insecurity, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle behavior change.
* Work collaboratively with the CDNT's nurses, social workers, community health workers, and physicians.
* Participate in case conferences, care-planning meetings, and joint clinics.
* Provide nutrition expertise to the wider team to improve holistic patient care.
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation following organizational and professional guidelines.
* Adhere to ethical standards, safeguarding policies, and patient confidentiality regulations.
* Engage in continuous professional development and maintain registration with relevant dietetic regulatory bodies.
* Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice updates.
* Assist in the development and evaluation of nutrition programs targeting high-risk populations.
* Support data collection, audit processes, and reporting requirements for CDNT operations.
* Participate in training and mentoring for students, volunteers, or junior staff.
Requirements of Dietitian
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition & Dietetics.
* Registration with CORU
* Strong clinical nutrition knowledge and experience in community or outpatient settings.
* Excellent communication, motivational interviewing, and education skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to culturally responsive care and health equity.
