An exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our client, a market‑leading company in the Process Equipment and Engineering Solutions industry. This role will primarily be based onsite in Little Island, Cork on a permanent contract. The position requires flexibility in terms of travel and client sites and will require overnight stays for certain client site visits (nationwide).
Responsibilities
* In‑house service assembly/overhaul/test of product portfolio sold with a focus on valve related items.
* Field Service Engineer duties will consist of a mix of work both in the workshop and on customer sites including overnight stays.
* Troubleshooting and repair of customer products and providing accurate repair reports.
* Operation of company related equipment such as forklifts, tools and testing equipment.
* Responsibility for meeting workshop schedules in coordination with company requirements.
* Ensure that appropriate safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment, are adhered to.
* Responsibility for upkeep/maintenance of workshop – including company tools, equipment and assets.
* Adherence to the company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality and Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
* Mechanical/Electrical engineering academic and/or trade qualification.
* Previous experience in a field‑based role is advantageous.
* Role requires travel within Ireland and overnight stays on occasion.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
