Maryborough Family Practice is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to join our dynamic, patient-centred team.
This is a key leadership role within our nursing team, ideal for a motivated nurse looking to progress their career in a supportive, well-organised general practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team, including rostering, delegation, supervision, and performance support.
Coordinate and oversee the delivery of chronic disease management (CDM) and preventative care programs.
Support nursing staff in the provision of immunisations, wound care, cervical screening, phlebotomy, and triage.
Lead the nursing contribution to clinical audits, practice accreditation, and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with GPs, administration, and allied health professionals to ensure cohesive, patient-focused care.
Ensure compliance with infection control, health & safety, clinical governance, and practice policies.
Participate in recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of nursing staff.
Essential Requirements:
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including 3 years in General Practice.
Demonstrated leadership or managerial experience, ideally in a team setting.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Confidence with IT systems; experience with Socrates clinical software is advantageous.
Desirable:
Postgraduate qualifications in primary care, chronic disease management, or healthcare leadership.
Experience delivering CDM, women's health services, and nurse-led clinics.
