Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position
* Qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or Chartered Tax Consultant (CTC) with a strong technical foundation in corporate tax compliance.
* Proven track record of delivering service excellence and managing a growing team of tax professionals.
* Strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with clients on complex tax law changes and collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Success in the Role
* Lead the review and quality assurance of complex corporate tax returns, tax provisioning, and reporting for a broad client portfolio.
* Build trusted client relationships by advising on key tax law changes and their impact on tax liabilities and reporting obligations.
* Support and contribute to the strategic advancement of the Corporate Tax Compliance Centre, including tax technology deployment and process transformation projects.
* Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their career progression.
What type of work will I be doing?
* Reviewing and managing corporate tax compliance deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Client engagement, including meetings to discuss tax developments and compliance matters.
* Focus on strategic initiatives such as tax technology implementation, process improvement, and transformation projects.
* Team leadership activities, including mentoring, coaching, and performance management of junior staff.
