Our client based in rural County Mayo, is seeking a passionate and experienced Bar Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers a very competitive salary depending on the experience and motivation of the successful applicant. Accommodation can also be part of the package for a suitable candidate. The premises operates as a "wet bar", (no food service) currently with evening trade only Monday through Friday and standard weekend opening hours.
Preferred Requirements:
* Proven experience in managing a busy bar operation, ensuring efficient service and exceptional customer satisfaction.
* Strong knowledge of bar management, including staff training and scheduling, efficient stock control, and cost management
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate your team
* Proficiency in all bar-related skills, and service
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and customer service.
* Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory systems efficiently.
* Be able to lead, develop, and train a team of bar staff
* Monitor and control budgets, labour costs, and profitability.
* Ensure all health& safety, environmental and licensing regulations are strictly adhered to.
* Work closely with senior management on promotional events and service improvements.
* A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a similar leadership role within the hospitality sector.
* A proven track record of driving revenue and controlling costs.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
This role would suit an experienced current Bar Manager or a strong Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in their career.
