Training and Development Coordinator - Maternity Leave Contract
The Training and Development Coordinator will provide support to the company’s Training & Development Manager and the Training and Development function within the company.
GENERAL DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists with the planning, organisation, and delivery of Companywide training programmes.
* Point of contact for management and staff for organising the various training courses, in- house and externally.
* Manages training schedules, registers, databases and maintains current and new accreditations and funding applications.
* Assist with retention of current accreditations (VCR, Engineers Ireland CPD, etc.).
* Assist with internal Training and Development Committee activities.
* Liaises with training providers and other external third parties.
* Notify staff when certificates are set to expire and co-ordinate refresher training.
* Pre-course Preparation. (for example - handouts, training room layout and equipment, food/refreshments, attendance sheets, etc.)
* Follow up with evaluation/feedback surveys to measure effectiveness of the Company training programme.
* Assists with online learning platform, Knowledge Management system and other on-line learning tools.
* Assists with tender submissions and other business development activities.
* Provide support in preparation for audits/inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Previous experience in a support role, ideally within a Training & Development department.
* The ideal candidate will have experience with Graduate Development Programmes and experience in mentoring and coaching programmes.
* Experience in delivering chartership programmes.
* Demonstrable knowledge of operating office equipment and IT (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other office applications).
* Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
* Proactive, energetic approach with the ability to work on own initiative. Organised and efficient.
* Interested in expanding and updating professional knowledge.
* Previous experience within the construction sector advantageous.
