This five-star resort in Co Cork is currently recruiting an experienced and ambitious Sales Manager to proactively seek out new business opportunities and assist in achieving all hotel revenue and sales targets. A key focus of the role will be managing a portfolio of international accounts in the MICE, Corporate, Agent, and Leisure segments.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Set objectives, goals, and targets for the team with the Director of Sales.
2. Achieve all budgeted targets and goals, both individual and departmental.
3. Assist the Director of Sales in developing the Annual Sales Plan and Budget.
4. Proactively seek to achieve revenue goals across all market segments outlined in the annual business plan.
5. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in additional market segments such as Golf and Spa.
6. Coordinate with the Reactive Events Teams to convert business.
7. Maintain an active schedule of daily sales calls and weekly sales appointments.
8. Manage accounts of new and existing clients, identifying new revenue opportunities.
9. Conduct client site inspections and fam trips.
10. Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, award ceremonies, and other business events locally, nationally, and internationally.
11. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
12. Assist in training new staff in Sales & Marketing or Weddings & Events departments.
13. Support Weddings & Events as needed, including proposals, site inspections, wedding showarounds, follow-up calls, and updating Opera system.
14. International travel is required for this role.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a similar sales management role within the hospitality sector. Five-star experience is an advantage, along with a third-level degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or Catering. Additional attributes include:
