We are looking for a passionate and caring School Age Practitioner to join our new Afterschool opening early 2026 .
In this role, you will work directly with children attending primary school supporting their development, wellbeing, and enjoyment during their time at the afterschool club.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and supervision to children in a safe and welcoming environment.
Plan and facilitate a range of creative, physical, and educational activities that meet the interests and needs of the children.
Support children's social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and friendships.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
Assist with daily routines, including snack times, homework support, and outdoor play.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings and planning.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Knowledge of child safeguarding and health and safety practices.
Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 17.5 per week
