Irish Recruiter is looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join a market-leading EdTech provider that specialises in assessment and exam management platforms for the Higher Education sector. This role is focused on acquiring new university customers by building long-term relationships, establishing credibility within the assessment domain, and driving revenue growth through a consultative sales approach.
Role responsibilities
Acquire new higher education customers by building trusted relationships across the assessment and exams community. You will own and manage the full sales cycle from qualification through to contract close, including product demonstrations, pilots, and proposal submission.
Sales Execution & Business Development
* Develop and execute targeted sales plans focused on new customer acquisition within the Higher Education sector.
* Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities through inbound demand generation, strategic outreach, and established sector networks.
* Promote the assessment platform through direct sales activity, supported by demand generation and marketing initiatives.
* Deliver clear, credible product demonstrations and presentations to academic, administrative, and IT stakeholders.
* Support structured procurement processes, including responding to RFPs and RFIs.
Market Presence & Strategy
* Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and sector events, contributing to discussion and knowledge sharing.
* Stay informed on assessment, exams, and e-assessment trends to engage confidently and credibly with the sector.
* Contribute to sector knowledge and discussion to establish the company as a thought leader in assessment management.
Reporting & Pipeline Management
* Build and maintain an accurate sales pipeline, including consistent forecasting and reporting.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company CRM system.
* Consistently meet or exceed agreed new business revenue targets.
Required skills and experience:
* Proven experience selling software or services (SaaS) into the Higher Education sector.
* Strong understanding of assessment, exams, or e-assessment environments within universities.
* Demonstrated success with consultative, solution-led sales approaches and managing full sales cycles.
* Experience supporting structured procurement processes (RFPs/RFIs).
* Ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with academic, administrative, and senior institutional stakeholders.
* Confidence in presenting and demonstrating software solutions both in person and online.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills through fluent English language.
* Willingness to travel for conferences and client meetings as required.
* Based in Ireland, the UK or another EU or EEA country with the right to work in that location.
