Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Securities Services Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
* Execute software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technically, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or resolve problems.
* Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronized with systems.
* Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software development.
* Analyze data, develop visualizations and reports from large datasets to improve software applications and systems.
* Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
* Contribute to communities of practice and explore new technologies.
* Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied experience.
* Experience as a full stack developer building scalable and robust applications.
* Application development experience.
* Object-oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced design patterns.
* Proficiency in Microsoft .NET/.NET Core and C#.
* Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
* Knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora MySQL, Postgres).
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Beanstalk.
* Awareness of industry technology trends and best practices.
* Ability to collaborate in large, distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* Experience with AWS.
* Experience with data streaming frameworks like Kafka.
* Experience with Splunk or Elastic Stack.
* AWS Developer Certification (preferred).
* Hands-on Agile experience.
