Assistant Town Planner – GalwayLocation: Galway City | Full-Time | Minimum 1 Year Experience Required A well-established and respected planning and environmental consultancy based in Galway City is seeking a motivated and articulate Assistant Town Planner to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified planner with some practical experience to work across a wide range of planning and development projects throughout Ireland.
The successful candidate will be involved in projects ranging from single residential units to large-scale mixed-use and commercial developments, working alongside experienced planning and environmental professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and coordination of planning applications and planning appeals
Produce high-quality reports, planning statements, and supporting documentation
Undertake planning research and site appraisals
Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout the planning process
Support the team in providing tailored planning advice to a diverse client base
Requirements: RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a closely related field
Minimum of 1 year's experience in a planning role (public or private sector)
Strong report writing skills and a keen eye for detail
Confident, articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
A proactive approach and willingness to learn from a supportive team environment
