Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations of the centre during your shift, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.
· Supervise and coordinate staff, including assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
· Respond to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns promptly and professionally.
· Ensure compliance with IRPP operational standards, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations.
· Liaise with external agencies, service providers, and local community stakeholders as required.
· Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and handover notes.
· Support orientation activities, resident engagement programmes, and integration initiatives.
· Uphold Abbeyfield's ethos of dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
Essential Requirements
· Experience in a supervisory or management role, ideally in residential, social care, or humanitarian settings.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a dynamic environment.
· Knowledge of child safeguarding and health & safety practices.
· Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
· High level of cultural awareness and commitment to equality and inclusion.
Desirable
· Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or other vulnerable groups.
· Qualification in social care, community development, or related field.
· First Aid and/or conflict resolution training.
