Regeneron is currently seeking a Temporary Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety team.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast‑growing, science‑driven organisation making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: Raheen, LimerickWhat you’ll do:Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental, health & safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company standards and valuesEstablishing, maintaining and auditing the Environmental and Health & Safety Management SystemDetermining and addressing site EHS issues and employee concernsPerforming incident management activities including injury management investigations and associated recordkeepingIdentifying, implementing and tracking corrective actions to prevent recurrencePerforming Environmental, Health and Safety risk assessments and making recommendations to control hazardsCreating, implementing and maintaining Environmental, Health and Safety training program for health, safety and the environmentResponsible for developing appropriate emergency plans and response capabilitiesStaying abreast of new Environmental, Health and Safety government regulations as they are promulgated as well as new developments in industry (best practices)Building relationships with key departments to foster support for Environmental, Health and Safety programsThe environment and physical rhythms of this role:A thorough knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation for a pharmaceutical facility operating within Ireland/EuropeKnowledge of behavioural based safety programsOperational Safety Experience: Safe Systems of Work - Environmental, Health and Safety permitting, Fatality Prevention Programme - EHS Control of Hazardous Energy – Lock Out Tag OutThe ability to lead and direct others and work as part of a teamLogical problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with good ability to produce technical reportsLet’s find out if we’re a fit:For this opportunity you should have a BS/ BA in Health and Safety or related field with 5+ years of experience working in an Environmental, Health and Safety role within the pharmaceutical industry or similar industry.We are committed to building a workplace with an inclusive culture.
