Job Description
We are seeking an experienced retail professional to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. In this role, you will assist the shop manager in the operation of our Irish Cancer Society shop, ensuring that it reflects high street retail standards and maintains a professional image.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the shop manager in all areas of operation, including sales, stock management, and customer service.
* Maintain operational standards that are consistent with or exceed industry norms.
* Ensure that any interaction with customers is carried out in a manner that is courteous and professional.
* Manage staff members, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
* Recruit, support, and proactively manage a team of volunteers.
* Maintain a safe environment for customers, volunteers, and staff, reporting any hazards immediately.
* Ensure agreed stock management procedures are observed and merchandising and window display opportunities are maximised at all times.
* Act as a contact point for existing and potential service users, promoting Society services and supporting major fundraising initiatives.
