Job Title: Construction Project Manager
The Role is to oversee the construction of a school building from groundworks phase. This will involve working alongside another Site Manager, ensuring that all health and safety policies are implemented. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing subcontractors, while overseeing QC and safety measures on site.
Responsibilities include checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations, attending regular site meetings with the project team, and directly supervising direct staff and subcontractors. You will also be responsible for planning daily resourcing and controlling site labour, as well as ordering materials. Furthermore, maintaining a weekly work diary of progress and ensuring procedures are in place to maintain plant in good working order are key aspects of the role.
As the successful candidate, you will have a construction related degree or similar level qualification, and a minimum of 5+ years' experience in site management. A strong understanding of the construction industry, particularly in respect to education projects, is essential. Additionally, knowledge of latest building regulations and certification standards is required. The ability to lead, use initiative, and be self-motivated is vital, as is the ability to work to targets and deadlines. Excellent IT and communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills, are also necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Construction related degree or similar level qualification;
