Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Fund Accounting VP to join a high-growth Alternatives business. This role will lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality fund accounting services to a portfolio of Alternative Investment clients. You’ll build and maintain strong client relationships, foster collaboration across departments, and ensure excellence in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the senior point of contact for clients on all accounting-related matters.
* Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely NAVs.
* Ensure outstanding client service and prompt resolution of queries.
* Lead root cause analyses and implement effective remediation plans.
* Participate in or lead departmental initiatives and projects, particularly those focused on improving processes and efficiency.
* Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and procedures.
* Manage team resourcing and partner effectively with other departments.
* Train, coach and mentor team members, fostering their development and engagement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, third parties and internal stakeholders.
What You Bring
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Alternative Funds, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
* Experience in Private Markets is highly desirable.
* Strong working knowledge of fund accounting systems, preferably Investran and/or Geneva.
* In-depth understanding of Alternative fund structures, fund domiciles, regulatory requirements, and performance calculations.
* Demonstrated experience in reviewing and interpreting fund and fee documentation.
* Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate teams.
* Strong data management and analytical skills.
* ACCA qualification preferred but not essential.
* A proactive, curious mindset and a proven ability to drive change.
