Job Title: Senior IAM Consultant – PingFederate Expert
Contract Type: Contract (3–6 Months)
Location: Hybrid – Galway, Ireland
On-site Requirement: 3 days per month on-site (mandatory)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Identity Access Management (IAM) Consultant with expert-level experience in PingFederate to support and enhance enterprise IAM platforms. The consultant will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing secure authentication and authorisation solutions across complex environments. This role requires strong hands‑on technical expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to operate independently in a contract‑based delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
IAM PingFederate Expertise
Design, configure, and maintain PingFederatesolutions for SSO, federation, and authentication
Implement SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC) integrations
Configure and manage authentication policies, adapters, token mappings, and attribute contracts
Troubleshoot and resolve complex federation and authentication issues
Security Architecture
Ensure IAM solutions comply with security best practices and regulatory requirements
Support secure access models including MFA, risk‑based authentication, and identity federation
Collaborate with security architects on IAM strategy and design
Integration Collaboration
Integrate PingFederate with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and third‑party SaaS providers
Work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to internal teams
Operational Support
Support IAM environments in production and non‑production
Perform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with minimal downtime
Produce and maintain technical documentation and solution designs
Required Skills Experience
Mandatory
8+ yearsexperience in Identity Access Management
Expert‑level hands‑on experience with PingFederate
Strong experience with:
SAML 2.0
OAuth 2.0
OpenID Connect (OIDC)
Federation and SSO architectures
Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle concepts
Experience working in enterprise‑scale IAM environments
Technical Skills
PingFederate configuration and customization
LDAP / Active Directory integration
Certificate management (SSL/TLS, signing, encryption)
REST APIs and JSON
Linux/Unix environments
Nice to Have
Experience with PingAccess, PingDirectory, or PingID
Cloud IAM exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
Prior consulting or contract‑based delivery experience
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
