We are hiring a Staff Nurse-CTVS ICU in our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Accurately record and report patients' conditions, vital signs, symptoms, and behavioural changes, ensuring timely communication with medical and nursing teams.
Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
Perform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures efficiently while maintaining accurate, confidential documentation.
Implement and review individualised care plans, involving patients and families in care decisions and health education.
Adhere to infection control, aseptic, and safety protocols to maintain a high standard of patient care.
Participate in quality improvement, audit, and accreditation processes to promote best practice and service excellence.
Demonstrate leadership by supervising, delegating appropriately, and supporting junior staff and students.
Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team, escalating clinical or operational concerns promptly to the Nurse Manager.
Engage in continuous professional development through training, maintaining a professional portfolio, and participating in performance reviews Requirements Must hold current NMBI Registered General Nurse (RGN) licence.
Minimum of 2-3 year's experience in a Critical Care setting is preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Demonstrates motivation, initiative, and an innovative approach to nursing practice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
Understanding of change management and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills in managing workload and patient priorities.
Flexible approach to shift patterns, including internal rotations, night duty, and theatre on-call as required.
Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the specialised area within an acute hospital setting, including awareness of current national strategies and best practices.
Holds current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
