We are seeking an additional Field Service Engineer in the Dublin area to join our forward thinking, employee-focused organisation.This is a full-time onsite position, where you will be working as part of a small team to provide a full installation, maintenance, and repair service to a key customer within the financial services industry. You will use your own vehicle; we pay your car allowance and reimburse travel expenses.What you’ll do:Customer ServicePerform maintenance and repairs on data center hardware, including mid-to-high-end servers and storage devicesTravel to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesProvide exceptional service by responding quickly and efficiently to customer needsCommunicate with confidence to ensure customers feel supported and their concerns are addressedIdentify and proactively escalate potential technical issuesAssist with data center relocations and inventory auditsTechnical KnowledgeInterpret maintenance manuals and collaborate with engineers to resolve complex issuesTroubleshoot technical problems efficiently while managing multiple tasksStay updated on industry advancements through training and certification programsServe as a technical expert during sales calls when neededDocument and share resolutions to improve team knowledge and efficiencyAccount ManagementPrepare thorough audits and maintain documentation of service callsProactively analyze and prepare for service calls to ensure quick and effective solutionsMaintain accurate records of service activities, expenses, and customer interactionsCollaborate with internal teams including purchasing, operations, and salesWhat we’re looking for:Strong troubleshooting skills with at least basic knowledge of computer hardware - Any vendor, not specific to IBMSomeone who is looking to learn and open to cross-trainingAvailability for on-call rotation to support customer needsPrior field service experience is a plus but not requiredA+ and/or Server Plus certifications preferred but not requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reachingWhat we offer you:Comprehensive training program – we hire the will and train the skill!€60,000 - €75,000 based on experienceAccess to best-in-class support teamsOpportunities for personal growth & career advancementOn-call 1 in 3 weeks, standby rates total additional €4,000 - €5,000 per annumOnsite and remote workOvertimeService Express is an equal opportunity employer.
