We are recruiting for an External Cleaning Operative in Dublin city Centre, Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2.
The successful candidate will be given full training and support.
The hours in the job are as follows:
Monday - Friday @ 2h per day + 1h extra (Total 11Hrs) (with an opportunity for 20hrs per week on another site)
Start time 8/9am
Job Role / Overview
Tasks focus on general cleanliness and maintenance:
* Sweeping around the entire building perimeter.
* Removing cigarette butts at smoking areas.
* Cleaning and replacing area bin bag.
* Wiping down smoking shelters.
* Leaf blowing
* Watering the plants regularly.
* Removing rubbish using a fishing net.
* Cleaning the stainless steel fence nearby.
* Sweeping ramps and pushing standing water.
* Wiping entrance barriers.
* Clearing cobwebs.
* Cleaning extractor fans and lighting.
* Maintaining the bin room.
* Cleaning all bike cages.
* Cleaning outside and inside of reception windows.
* Reporting defects within the site.
* Carry out any / all cleaning duties as requested/by your supervisor/management
* Ensure that all tasks are carried out in a professional manner, following all "safe systems of work" & risk assessment directions
* Wear the correct and appropriate PPE specified at all times
* Comply with all statutory Health & Safety Rules and Regulations
* Comply with all health & safety regulations for cleaning materials, equipment, and buildings.
* Provide high personal standards of work/performance, personal hygiene, and appearance.
* Wear any items of personal protective equipment, as specified by the cleaning supervisor/manager
* Report all faults in relation to cleaning machinery/equipment to the supervisor/management team
* Report all building defects to the supervisor/management team
* Carry out any reasonable request, as specified by the supervisor/management team to attend all company meetings and training as requested.
Skills/ Experience:
* Applicants should be well presented, trustworthy, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Must have the ability to manage time effectively, show initiative, and the ability to work without supervision.
* Good communication skills
* Candidate must be able to communicate in English.
* Willing to be Garda Vetted
* Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
