Overview
A well-established food processing business in Navan is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its engineering team. Operating within the fast-paced FMCG sector, the company specialises in high-quality red meat products for domestic and international markets. This is a hands-on role suited to a mechanically minded professional with strong welding skills and a background in food manufacturing.
Responsibilities
* Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
* Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime.
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks to support maintenance and project work.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and comply with safety standards.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Criteria
* Recognised mechanical or engineering qualification
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an FMCG environment.
* Strong welding and fabrication skills are essential.
* Experience in the red meat sector is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern.

* Week 1: 5:00am - 2:30pm
* Week 2: 12:00 noon - 8:00pm
* 39-hour week
