With our continued growth, we are pleased to have the opportunity to further enhance our existing health and safety (H&S) capability through the appointment of a Deputy Group Managed Service (MGS) H&S Manager. Based in either the PM Group Cork or Dublin Business Unit and reporting to the Group MGS & CQV / Cx H&S Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of H&S performance in the delivery of a variety of project portfolios on selected client sites across Ireland, the UK, Western Europe and USA. The successful candidate will also coordinate with the relevant PM Group MGS BU Operations Managers, PM Group Site Teams and PM Group Heads of Service as needed. As this is a Group position, the role will require flexibility in relation to regular travel throughout Ireland to Client sites. Additionally, in these regions, PM Group has a growing portfolio of CQV/Cx service offerings. Responsibilities In collaboration with the Group MGS & CQV/Cx H&S Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Supporting the continuous development of our H&S Leadership & Culture across PM Group MGS Teams & CQV/Cx Teams / Portfolios. Responsible for all aspects of construction health, safety matters undertaken by MGS and CQV / Cx. Act as champion for the achievement of excellence in H&S performance. Supporting the implementation of PM Group's H&S Policy and ISO 45001 certified H&S Management System across all MGS Portfolios and CQV / Cx activities. Delivery and rollout of PM Group's H&S training programme, workshops and awareness campaigns, including PM Group's Living Safety programme and associated Behavioural Based Safety culture modules. Support with development of same as needed. Provision of specialist H&S support and advice to our field-based teams including legal responsibilities for both Design and Construction Safety. Performance monitoring and reporting via the implementation of KPIs and audit regimes. Identify and communicate new and emerging best practices in relevant aspects of H&S. Ensure proper governance is being applied to achieving the highest standards of H&S performance, taking corrective action when required. Lead the implementation of consistent systems to ensure safe transitions from Design through to Construction, Commissioning and Qualification. Coordinate with the Group MGS & CQV/Cx H&S Manager, and relevant regional service leads, to ensure consistent delivery of safety initiatives and campaigns to both MGS and CQV / Cx. Participate in Client Sponsor Meetings, Safety Leadership Meetings, Safety Forums and Workshops, chairing as needed. Supporting site-based teams by participating in project reviews and assessments throughout the lifecycle, taking lead role as needed, Supporting the Group MGS & CQV/Cx Manager in generation of H&S reports. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Group MGS& CQV/Cx H&S Manager necessary to support the safe delivery of projects within MGS and CQV / Cx. Qualifications Demonstrated capability in Construction and CQV H&S within specialised industrial sectors, including Life Sciences & Data Centres) Professional Qualification in H&S, Engineering or Construction / Project Management. Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent qualification. 10+ years professional experience. Proven knowledge and strong understanding of H&S statutory requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
